Production Monitoring System

What is the Production Monitoring System?

Efficiency and accuracy at the production lines enable a better production and utilization of the available resources, The data available should be interpreted accurately to identify the various faults at the production level and to immediately rectify them to improve efficiency. Production Monitoring System is important to increase the production Performance.

Where there is human intervention on the recording or collection of data, the truthfulness of the collected data is no longer reliable. Presenting too much product information to the production workers or operators is not essential to their task. With too much-unfocused information thrown at them, workers and operators are not able to digest what is necessary to modify their current production outcomes.

To achieve this requires access to accurate information for measurement, tracking and analysis of the Production process through some form of the production monitoring system. For the Plant run, the Production monitoring system connects and continuously monitors the status of manufacturing assets and delivers Real-time performance metrics instantly.

The current status of each machine can be seen at a glance. Key performance figures such as scrap rate, downtime, efficiency, utilization and set up time are displayed on fully configurable mimic diagrams, details pages, and summary pages through familiar windows based software.

All data collected by the monitoring system is recorded in the archive database. As well as being available to the intouch reporting module, the data can be interrogated through industry-standard software such as Microsoft Excel or Access. Analysis of the data will identify problem machines and tools. Accurate data quantifies problems enabling informed decisions to be made to streamline our production operation.

Production Monitoring has proven to be a workhorse system that our facility needed for a dedicated approach to managing production and operation efficiency.

Benefits of Production Monitoring System:

  • Provides better part quality by establishing process control and improving process stability
  • Decreases cycle times and reduces machine downtime
  • Increases percentage of on-time deliveries through simplified plant scheduling
  • Provides Real-time data and also historical data of production
  • Identify Break down, Set Up Problems on the plant floor
  • Respond rapidly to stoppages and production disturbance
  • Automatically stores process variables for each shot on every machine
